Orders after noon go on the first route the next morning. Weekend events are usually dropped Thursday or Friday and picked up Monday at no extra rental charge.

What do Denton-area renters need most?
Speed and clear logistics matter most. In 27 recorded porta potty rental calls reviewed in 2026, 44% of callers needed a unit within 48 hours, 70% were homeowners, 33% asked about hand washing, and 15 of the 27 rentals were for a single-day event.

What do your porta potties look like when they arrive?
Every Brandon Rental Works porta potty arrives pumped, washed, sanitized and stocked with 2 rolls of toilet paper and hand sanitizer. The photos below are our own units and setups: standard units for jobsites, hand-wash stations for parties, towable units for ranch crews and climate-controlled restroom trailers for weddings.

How many porta potties do I need?
Plan 1 standard porta potty per 50 guests for an event up to 4 hours. A 100-guest, 4-hour backyard party needs 2 units. If alcohol is served, add 1 unit, so that party needs 3. If food is served, add 1 hand-wash station for every 2 toilets. Jobsites follow OSHA: 1 toilet covers up to 20 workers.
Worked example: 150-guest wedding, 6 hours, with a bar
- 150 guests ÷ 35 guests per unit (4–8 hours) = 4.3, round up to 5 units.
- Alcohol served: add 2 units (1 per 100 guests, rounded up) = 7 units.
- Accessible units: 5% of 7, minimum 1 = 1 wheelchair-accessible + 6 standard or deluxe.
- Dinner served: 7 toilets ÷ 2 = 4 hand-wash stations.
The method is our house rule, used by dispatch on every call. The accessible count follows the 2010 ADA Standards §213.2. Full method and more examples: porta potty sizing guide.
Event porta potty calculator
Method: Brandon Rental Works house rule — 1 unit per 50 guests up to 4 hours, 1 per 35 for 4–8 hours, 1 per 25 beyond 8 hours, always rounded up; accessible count from 2010 ADA Standards §213.2 (5%, minimum 1).
How is the porta potty cleaned and serviced?
Every Brandon Rental Works porta potty is pumped, pressure-washed, sanitized and restocked at our Denton yard before delivery. Construction and long-term units get a weekly service visit included in the 28-day rate. Event units arrive clean and stocked; a 1–3 day party normally needs no mid-event service.
What happens on every service visit
- Pump the holding tank with our vacuum truck and add fresh deodorizing chemical.
- Scrub and sanitize the seat, urinal, walls, door handle and floor.
- Restock toilet paper and hand sanitizer; refill fresh water on sink units.
- Check the unit — door latch, vent and level footing — and hang a dated service ticket inside the door.
How often should a jobsite unit be serviced?
| Crew on site (40-hr week) | Units | Service |
|---|---|---|
| 1–10 workers | 1 | Weekly (included) |
| 11–20 workers | 1 | 2× per week |
| 21–40 workers | 1 (OSHA min.) — we suggest 2 | Weekly each |
| 41–80 workers | 2 (OSHA min.) — we suggest 3–4 | Weekly each |
Denton summers average about 96°F in July. Heat speeds up odor, so we suggest a second weekly service for crews of 10+ from June to September.
What does a porta potty rental quote include?
A Brandon Rental Works quote lists six lines: the unit type, the rental length (one event or a 28-day cycle), servicing, delivery and pickup, any same-day or distance fee, and Denton's 8.25% sales tax. Five things set the price: your location, the unit type, the dates, how often it is serviced, and how many units you need.
| Price factor | Why it changes the price |
|---|---|
| Location (ZIP) | Denton County is our base zone. Dallas and Tarrant County ZIPs can add a distance fee. |
| Unit type | Standard < wheelchair-accessible < deluxe flushing < restroom trailer. |
| Dates | One flat event price for 1–5 days on site. Jobsites bill every 28 days, not by calendar month. |
| Servicing | Weekly service is included on 28-day rentals. Extra visits are added per visit. |
| Quantity | Multi-unit orders share one delivery trip, so the cost per unit drops. |
Typical price ranges are in the FAQ below and in our porta potty rental cost guide.
callers pushed back on price or compared quotes. The most common surprise was tax and fees added after the first number. Our quotes show every line before you pay.
Source: 27 recorded porta potty rental calls reviewed by our office, 2026.Where should I put the porta potty?
Put the porta potty on level, firm ground the truck can reach, such as a driveway edge, a side yard, a gravel pad or a flat corner of the jobsite. The truck needs a path about 10–11 feet wide with no wires or branches under 12 feet. Our crew can cart an empty unit about 25 feet.
- Level ground. A sloped driveway tips the unit. Pick the flattest spot nearby.
- Clear space. About 5 × 5 feet, plus 3 feet open in front of the door.
- Backyard? A standard 43.5-inch-wide unit needs a gate at least 48 inches wide.
- Tell us about obstacles. Gate codes, HOA rules, low cable lines and parked cars.
- Not on the sidewalk or street. Public right-of-way placement needs a city permit.
- Do not move it once used. A used unit must be pumped before it can be tipped or moved.
callers asked the exact unit size so they could clear a spot. One needed about 11 feet of access to reach a backyard. Text us a photo of the spot, and dispatch checks it before the truck leaves.

| City of Denton special event permits go through Parks & Recreation, (940) 349-7275. Apply 60 days ahead, or 90 days with alcohol or amplified noise. | Your event site map must show portable restroom and trash locations. Book units before you file. City permit page |

| Spring storms bring high wind from March to June. | On open lots we stake or strap units on request. |
| Big dates sell out: Denton Arts & Jazz Festival (late April), UNT and TWU graduation (May, December), North Texas State Fair & Rodeo (August), UNT home football Saturdays. | Book 2–3 weeks ahead for those weekends. Same-day stock is thinnest then. |
| HOAs in master-planned areas like Robson Ranch and Rayzor Ranch may have placement rules. | Ask your HOA where temporary units may sit, then mark that spot for the driver. |
